Braxton Simmonds

Marsden State High School

Braxton has made an impressive transformation this term, demonstrating resilience, determination, and a commitment to personal growth. Last term, Braxton faced significant challenges with his behaviour, which resulted in two suspensions from school. While this was a difficult experience, it became a turning point that encouraged him to reflect on his choices and make a positive change in his behaviour.

At the beginning of this term, Braxton worked with his ARTIE mentor, Jess, to set a clear goal: to improve his behaviour with no suspensions for four weeks. He approached this goal with a genuine willingness to change and consistently worked towards achieving it each day.

One of the most noticeable changes has been Braxton’s increased openness and willingness to communication. Through regular meetings with his ARTIE mentor, he has developed trust and confidence, allowing him to share his thoughts, feelings, and challenges more openly. As a result, Braxton has become much more approachable and receptive to support and feedback.

Teachers and peers have also noticed the positive difference in Braxton’s attitude. His achievement this term highlights the power of perseverance and support. The ARTIE Academy is extremely proud of his efforts, the example he is setting for others, and will continue to support him throughout his journey. We congratulate him on passing his goal and receiving his reward, a bucket hat.
