Regular school attendance creates stronger opportunities for learning, confidence and future success. The ARTIE Academy Attendance Challenge recognises students who consistently show up and gives them something exciting to work towards each term.
About the program
The Attendance Challenge is one of the ARTIE Academy's core initiatives, encouraging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to attend school consistently through positive reinforcement, encouragement and meaningful rewards.

Students work alongside ARTIE mentors and school staff to improve and maintain their attendance throughout each term. Rather than focusing on punishment, the program celebrates effort, commitment and personal growth.

To successfully complete an Attendance Challenge, students are required to achieve 90% physical attendance, including participation in school activities such as excursions, sport and traineeships.

Set your goal
Work with ARTIE to set a personal attendance goal and commit to improving your school attendance throughout the term.

Stay on track
Attend school consistently while receiving ongoing encouragement, support and regular check-ins from ARTIE mentors.

Earn your reward
Achieve 90% physical attendance and celebrate your success with exciting rewards and recognition for your commitment.
Celebrating success
Every term, students who successfully complete the Attendance Challenge are recognised and rewarded for their commitment and effort. Rewards vary throughout the year and may include exciting experiences, community activities and special events that celebrate each student's achievement. More importantly, the program helps students build positive attendance habits that support long-term success both in and beyond the classroom.
