Obtaining a driver's licence can be life-changing. The ARTIE Academy Driver Licensing Program helps eligible students overcome barriers by providing practical support throughout every stage of the licensing journey, creating greater independence and pathways to future employment.
About the program
The ARTIE Academy Driver Licensing Program supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to achieve one of life's most important milestones — obtaining their driver's licence.

Through generous community partnerships and dedicated volunteers, students receive practical support, guidance and financial assistance throughout the licensing process. The program removes barriers that may otherwise prevent young people from gaining the independence and opportunities a driver's licence provides.

Apply
Submit an application to join the Driver Licensing Program and begin your journey towards obtaining your licence.

Learn and drive
Participate in learner workshops, driving lessons and practical learning experiences with support from ARTIE and volunteer driving instructors.

Get licensed
Complete your practical driving test and celebrate achieving a milestone that opens doors to employment, training and independence.
