Supporting the Community at Emmanuel City Mission

As part of ARTIE's ongoing commitment to community, our Academy Mentors spent a day volunteering with Emmanuel City Mission, an organisation dedicated to supporting people experiencing homelessness and hardship across Brisbane.

Throughout the visit, our mentors rolled up their sleeves and helped wherever they were needed—serving meals, making coffee, moving furniture and creating a welcoming space for people accessing the mission's services. Every conversation and every act of service reflected the values of compassion, respect and community that are central to ARTIE.

The experience was a powerful reminder that even small acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference. Emmanuel City Mission works to connect people experiencing homelessness with those who care, helping to reduce loneliness while fostering trust, dignity and hope.

For our mentors, the day was about more than volunteering. It was an opportunity to give back, strengthen community connections and lead by example, demonstrating the importance of empathy, service and supporting others.
