PROGRAM OVERVIEW:

The ARTIE Academy Driver Licensing Program proudly supported by RACQ provides the opportunity and support for students in Year 10, 11 and 12 to gain their driver licence. The opportunity to offer this to our students complements the existing attendance challenges and is an additional incentive for students to stay at school and complete Year 12.

This program will break down barriers that not having a driver licence can cause for young people when pursuing post schooling options and will be a key component to the success of students in life after school. Students who are successful with reaching the target of 90% Physical Attendance with no suspensions in Term 1 will be offered a position in this program pending a character reference letter (attached) from a school staff member. Subject to approval by the ARTIE Academy, students will be given the support to get their driver licence from Term 2.
